Molly has recently had issues with a crack in her cinderblock foundation letting in water during periods of heavy rain. Wanting to waterproof her basement before the issue worsened, she decided to reach out to Woodford Bros. for a free estimate for the necessary repairs. After an initial inspection, our Design Specialist determined that a combination of solutions would be necessary to fully waterproof Molly's basement including the WaterGuard and TripleSafe systems.
The WaterGuard system is designed to be installed beneath the floor slab, resting on top of the foundation footing to collect water that seeps through the basement walls and drains it to the sump pump. Additionally, the TripleSafe Sump Pump provides the ultimate protection for homeowners with water in their basements with the ability to pump our thousands of gallons of water. With these two systems in place, Molly can rest assured that her basement is fully protected against water damage.
Trey has been living in his Skaneateles, NY home for over 11 years. Over the past several years he has noticed cracks forming in his foundation as well as water coming in through the cracks, causing concern that the structure is unstable. Wanting to keep his home safe and his foundation from failing, he decided to reach out to Woodford Bros. for a free estimate for the necessary repairs. Following an inspection of the problem, our Design Specialist suggested the use of the SmartJack and EverBrace systems.
The SmartJack system provides solid support for sagging and undersized beams, restoring stability and straightness to sagging floor joists. Once installed, SmartJack posts can correct problems such as sloping and overly springy floors and can be adjusted over time to provide additional support. In turn, the EverBrace Wall Restoration System permanently stabilizes the most extreme cases of failing foundations. With EverBrace, steel corrugated panels and beams work together to strengthen and stabilize foundation walls. Rigid foam is then injected to fill any voids behind the steel panels, fully transferring the load from the failing structure to the new support panels. With these systems installed, Trey can have the peace of mind that his home's foundation is permanently stabilized and not at risk for failure.
