Holly hopes to eventually refinish the basement of her Syracuse, NY home, however, she has dampness coming through the floor causing concern for her plans to refinish the space.  Wanting to get the issue resolved, Holly decided to contact Woodford Bros. for a free estimate for the necessary repairs.  After an initial inspection, our Design Specialist determined that our WaterGuard and SuperSump systems would be necessary to waterproof Holly's basement.  

WaterGuard is a French Drain system designed to be installed below the floor slab, resting on top of the foundation footing.  The WaterGuard system then collects water that seeps through the basement walls and drains it to the sump pump.  In turn, the SuperSump system is engineered to keep the basement dry and healthy for extended periods, even in times of heavy water intrusion, capable of pumping 2,220 gallons of water per hour out of the basement.  With these two systems in place, Holly can rest assured that her basement is permanently waterproofed and ready to be refinished. 

The old radon mitigation system at this Syracuse, NY home had long since been inspected, and the homeowner wanted to ensure that it was effectively mitigating radon within the home. Calling on us to inspect the old system, our Design Specialist suggested replacing it with an updated radon mitigation system.

We then installed our most common radon mitigation system that works to depressurize the soil beneath the home, allowing for the radon gas to be redirected. The radon gas is then directed through a PVC pipe that is connected to a fan at the top of the structure ensuring proper ventilation out of the home. With this system installed, the homeowner can rest assured that their home and health are protected against radon gas.
