Kelly's new home was perfect for her but there were some issues with the foundation. When the home was constructed part of the footer was not below the frost line. This can create problems caused by the freeze/thaw cycle. When the soil surrounding the footer is saturated with water in the colder seasons it is liable to freeze. Since water expands when it freezes it causes frost heave which has great potential to damage the home's foundation. Our solution to this problem is to excavate that part of the foundation, install specially engineered drainage called EZ Flow then install a completely inorganic insulation material called Silverglo that will prevent that part of the footer from being exposed to the damage-inducing ice. The soil is then placed back against the house so that it can be reseeded. Kelly now has peace of mind that her foundation is protected from the ever-present force of nature that is frost heave.
Mary purchased a beautiful century old, new to her home in Sauquoit. In order to protect her investment, prevent water damage, and prevent mold growth that could lead to health problems she thought it best install a vapor barrier between the earth and the home. Being familiar with Woodford Brothers she called our office to schedule a free estimate. Upon inspection, our Design Specialist provided her with a same day proposal that included adding a sump to the crawlspace, encapsulating the crawlspace using our Cleanspace system and also some additional floor support for a section of the home where the floors had begun to slope. Using our SmartJack system, we were able to stabilize the floor permanently. Now Mary knows her health and her home's value is protected from water damage and bad air quality caused by mold.
Jerry and Elizabeth's home in Whitesboro, NY had a concrete sinking problem. As Jerry told us the problem wasn't the concrete, but the problem was their family. Jerry and Elizabeth's house was the one where everyone gathered for the holidays and big events. When their family had a party it was always at their house in Whitesboro. But every party or holiday Jerry and Elizabeth had a problem. Each time family would come over Jerry and Elizabeth would worry about the tripping hazard on the sidewalk.
Elizabeth feared an elderly relative tripping and breaking a hip. She even worried about someone ending up in a nursing home due to an accident.
Jerry also worried about the foundation of their home. The sidewalk now slopped towards the home, and every time it rained water rushed towards the house. Jerry wondered what all the extra water was doing to the foundation.
They knew they had to fix their concrete before someone got hurt. That's when Jerry found out about Woodford Brothers. After a quick google search, he knew this was the answer to their problems. Jery didn't want to rip out the concrete for two reasons. The first it would create a huge mess. The second reason was Jerry loved his landscaping. If they ripped out the concrete they would have to start over.
The job only took a few hours, now Jerry and Elizabeth have peace of mind. They no longer have to worry every time someone comes over. Plus Jerry doesn't have to worry about all the water heading towards his foundation. Don't wait, we can fix your slopping concrete in a few minutes.

This home in Clayville, NY had a couple of cinderblock columns that had shifted and failed causing the floors inside the home to be uneven and sloping. The door always wasn't operating correctly. Woodford Brothers lifted everything back into place and installed some 6x6 posts with a base below frost and Y-Bracing.
